Guidelines for using MenuPOS responsibly and in compliance with our standards.

1 Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the rules and guidelines for using the MenuPOS application and related services. By using MenuPOS, you agree to comply with this policy. This AUP supplements our Terms & Conditions.

This policy exists to ensure a safe, fair, and reliable experience for all MenuPOS users.

2 Acceptable Use

MenuPOS is designed for legitimate restaurant and food service billing operations. Acceptable uses include:

  • Creating and managing restaurant menus, catalogs, and pricing
  • Generating bills, invoices, and receipts for actual food service transactions
  • Managing tables, orders, and customer records for your restaurant business
  • Managing staff roles and permissions within your establishment
  • Using analytics and reports to understand your business performance

3 Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

3.1 Fraudulent Activities

  • Generating fake invoices or bills for non-existent transactions
  • Using MenuPOS for money laundering, tax evasion, or any financial fraud
  • Misrepresenting transaction amounts, tax calculations, or business information

3.2 Technical Abuse

  • Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the MenuPOS application
  • Using automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access or interact with MenuPOS
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems
  • Introducing malware, viruses, or any harmful code into the platform
  • Deliberately overloading or disrupting our servers or infrastructure

3.3 Content Violations

  • Entering offensive, defamatory, or illegal content into MenuPOS
  • Using MenuPOS to store or distribute content that violates Indian law
  • Uploading content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights

3.4 Account Abuse

  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limitations
  • Sharing account credentials with unauthorized individuals
  • Using another user's account without their explicit permission
  • Reselling or sublicensing your MenuPOS access to third parties

4 User Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all data, content, and information you enter into MenuPOS. This includes menu items, business descriptions, customer records, and any other information. You must ensure that your content does not infringe on any third-party rights and complies with applicable Indian laws.

5 Security & Access

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not share your login credentials, use weak passwords, or leave your account accessible on shared devices without proper safeguards.

If you discover any security vulnerability in MenuPOS, please report it responsibly to social@menupos.in rather than exploiting it.

6 Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against any user who violates this AUP, including:

  • Warning: A first-time or minor violation may result in a warning notification
  • Suspension: Repeated or moderate violations may result in temporary account suspension
  • Termination: Serious violations or repeated offences will result in permanent account termination
  • Legal Action: We may report illegal activities to law enforcement authorities and pursue legal remedies

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking enforcement action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect our users or infrastructure.

7 Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP by another user, please report it to social@menupos.in. Include as much detail as possible, and we will investigate promptly.
