1 Overview
You are free to cancel your MenuPOS subscription at any time. This policy explains how cancellations work, when they take effect, and what happens to your data and access after cancellation.
For refund eligibility after cancellation, please refer to our Refund Policy.
2 How to Cancel
You can cancel your MenuPOS subscription through the following methods:
2.1 In-App Cancellation
Go to your account settings within the MenuPOS app, navigate to the Subscription section, and follow the cancellation steps. This is the fastest method.
2.2 Cancellation via Email
Send a cancellation request to social@menupos.in from your registered email address. Include your registered phone number or email and your current plan. We will process your request within 2 business days and send a confirmation.
2.3 Google Play Store
If you subscribed via Google Play, you can also cancel directly through the Play Store's subscription management section. This will cancel future renewals through Google's billing system.
3 Effect of Cancellation
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. This means:
- You retain full access to your subscribed plan until the end of the period you have already paid for
- No further charges will be made after cancellation is confirmed
- Once the period ends, your account will be downgraded to a free/limited access tier (if available) or suspended
We do not pro-rate cancellations mid-cycle unless a refund is approved under our Refund Policy. You continue to have access until your paid period ends.
4 Your Data After Cancellation
After your subscription ends:
- Your data (menus, orders, customer records) remains accessible for a grace period of 30 days in read-only mode
- You can export your data during this 30-day grace period
- After 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted from our servers
- We are not responsible for data loss due to account cancellation after this period
We strongly recommend exporting all important data before cancellation or during the grace period.
5 Reactivation
You can reactivate your subscription at any time by subscribing again through the app or website. If your account is reactivated within the 30-day data retention window, your previous data will be restored. After that window, data restoration may not be possible.
6 Downgrading Your Plan
If you wish to switch to a lower-tier plan rather than fully cancelling, you may request a downgrade through the app settings or by emailing social@menupos.in. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Features exceeding the lower plan's limits will be restricted upon downgrade.
